Dasho Kesang Deki has more than 30 years of experience in Bhutan's civil service, beginning her career in 1993 as a tax officer in the Department of Revenue and Customs. Over the years, she has held several senior leadership roles, including Commissioner of the Royal Civil Service Commission, Director General of the Department of National Properties, and Finance Secretary. She currently serves as the Cabinet Secretary of the Royal Government of Bhutan, a position she assumed in 2022. In recognition of her distinguished and dedicated service to the Royal Government of Bhutan, His Majesty The King graciously conferred the Red Scarf upon Kesang Deki. Kesang Deki received her Master of Public Finance degree from GRIPS in 2004.
