On May 18, 2026, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), visited GRIPS and exchanged views with members of the GRIPS Alliance Research Group on the Transformation and Future Outlook of the International Economic Order. The members were GRIPS Alliance Senior Fellow Haruhiko Kuroda (Chair of Research Group), Senior Professor Keisuke Iida, Professor Tsuyoshi Kawase (Sophia University) and Project Professor Naoko Munakata (the Graduate School of Public Policy, the University of Tokyo).
